Its great when you can combine adventure with your job! Who does that you might ask?

Colton Marsala does it and he does it well!!
He purchased a MIG adventure camp trailer last year for the purpose of his business, photography! (Hopefully he uses it as a tax write off too!)
He is a Nikon fan through and through, shooting with a D7000 and D7200. We are partial to Nikon too! Colton says, “my favorite lens would have to be my 10-24mm. I love the wide perspective its able to capture and how close it allows me to get to my subject.”

He has a passion for photography and has enrolled in the Salt Lake Community College photography program to educate himself more. He says that the professors really care about their students and they have a passion for photography, which has allowed him to learn a lot from their program. We can only imagine what type of photographer he will be when he completes the program, his work is already very impressive!

His favorite photographs were a hard choice, but he narrowed it down to his top three for us. As of this moment, they are:

1- Hidden Falls, Big cottonwood Canyon
2- Skyline Arch, Arches National Park
3- Willow Lake, Big Cottonwood Canyon

As I review his work I imagine he is a natural but find myself intrigued by who may have inspired him along the way, “I’m a huge fan of Joshua Cripps Photography. He's a spectacular landscape photographer. His images have always inspired me to get outside and find my own unique perspective. The way he captures natural light is brilliant.”

We asked him how his MIG camp trailer has impacted his photography experience? “The MIG allows me to spend more time in the elements in comfort. I spend less time stressing about the weather because I know the MIG will keep my equipment dry from snow and rain. Backpacking and sleeping in a tent is a lot of fun but its nice to sleep off the ground when I'm out shooting for multiple days.”

Colton has an eye and use of light that draws you in, check out his work atcoltonmarsalaphotography.com and screenshot your favorite in the comments below. He has some incredible photographs!!
