We visited Moab this past weekend and it was breathtaking, as always! What a great way to renew energy and lift the human spirit! We stayed at the Pack Creek Campground again and really enjoyed it! The showers and laundry on site makes it so comfortable and the staff is incredible! They also provide a 50% military discount, which we love!!! We arrived midmorning and setup our MIG camp and headed to the Grandstaff Hiking Trail, with our 4 kids (16, 14, 9, and 2) and our new little hound dog pup, Giallo. It was Giallo's first hike and first opportunity to get used to his leash, we went all in! Thankfully he made it most of the way and was use to his leash by the time we finished!!! This 4.3 mile hike was beautiful!!! About a mile in it began to sprinkle and just in time, we found an overarching red rock to hang out under as the rain became very heavy for about 20 min. We contemplated turning back but the kids didn't want to!! After the rain stopped waterfalls were around every corner, we saw nearly a dozen of them, and it sure was worth enduring the storm!! The journey of crossing over the creek several times was fun! It took Giallo until nearly the last crossing to do it without hesitation, hahaha. It was a little slow going up with the little pup and a 2 year old who insisted on walking most of the way, but when we arrived to the beautiful Morning Glory Natural Bridge it was all worth it!! In our excitement to get up the trail we forgot our bag of snacks which led to a pretty slow decent, especially for our 9 year old. Lesson learned: always remember snacks for your adventures!! We headed back to our MIG camp for some beef stew and hot showers! It was a restful evening, a little rain pitter pattered on the roof, but we awoke rejuvenated and ready for some more adventure. We packed up and headed to the south side of Moab and hit a couple of Jeep trails in the F150....we can't wait to get our Jeep in a few months! There are some great trails and really beautiful camp sites, we will for sure go back and explore more on this side of Moab.
Cheers to ADVENTURE! We look forward to seeing you out on your adventures!!!

Excellent off road expo this year!!! We met some great people and loved showing off the features of the MIG!! We have a model (APEX Ultra) to tow behind your Jeep and it is neat to match your wheels and tires! We love to Jeep and know many of you do too! The average weight of the APEX Ultra is 800 lbs (varies pending wheels and tires) and can literally follow your Jeep nearly anywhere. The great thing is if you want to setup camp and go 4x4, you don't have to pack everything up like you might on a roof top tent. Plus!!!! Plus, you can stand up inside, with nearly 7' of head clearance, and put your pants on in the morning!!! We currently have two show models we are wanting to sell at a discount of $8500. Call 801-230-6363 today and we can hook you up!
We also have a model (APEX XL) to tow behind your side by side!! The tandem axle on the XL is sometimes confusing to people, but we have put this APEX XL to the test on trails all over, including Hell's Revenge in Moab. This tandem axle allows for the trailer to maintain stability as you climb the toughest rocks with your machine!!! A great feature about the tandem axle is there is very little tongue weight on your side by side, the wheels, tires and axles hold all that weight!! We gave away several MIG rental vouchers and we congratulate the winners! What a blast we had!! Thanks for a great expo SL Off-road!!! |
